'Here the nose is earthier still with excellent layering to the ripe dark berry fruit aromas that are liberally laced by notes of the sauvage, earth and a humus nuance. The rich, full-bodied and concentrated flavors possess excellent power and an abundance of dry extract that imparts a sappy texture as well as buffering the firm tannic spine on the mineral-inflected finale. Even though this isn't really a villages level wine, it is declared as such and in that sense, it is very impressive. Moreover, even though it should repay extended keeping it should also drink well after only a few years. Drink: 2025+'
