'Hunter Valley shiraz, cropped at 1.25 tonne per acre. 40% whole bunches in the ferment. All into large-format French oak. 200 cases only. The 2014 vintage is noted, on the front label, by Robin Tedder MW as “the greatest vintage in my lifetime with warm, dry and sunny days throughout the summer”. Medium-weight but insistent. Fruit-driven but with curls of savouriness. This red has it going on. It’s clean, it’s fresh, it’s complex and it’s persistent. It has all bases covered. If you’re hunting sweet fruit flavour you’ll definitely find it here but then, there’s a whole lot else going on besides. Tannin pins it all down securely.'
