'Medium red. Aromas of redcurrant, spices, leather and earth are a bit more rustic than they appeared to be from barrel in late 2015. Lower-pitched than the 2015 version but with good texture and richness to its plum and leather flavors. Finishes with a chocolatey nuance and substantial dusty tannins that come across as a bit dry today. I wanted more sweetness.'
