World Wine Estates (WWE) was established in 1994 as the wholesale arm of the wine mecca that was Ultimo Wine Centre. WWE specialised in French and European wines, importing some of the world’s finest wines. 

James Johnston joined the team in 1999 and amicably took leadership and ownership of WWE in 2005. James added a range of carefully curated world-class Australian and New Zealand agencies to the premium European producers. James has increased the focus on Organic and Biodynamic wines from small producers and family estates. 

World Wine Estates’ sales team and distribution now extends from New South Wales into Victoria, South Australia, ACT, Western Australia, Tasmania, and Queensland. All WWE wine is shipped in refrigerated containers and is kept in an airconditioned warehouse, ensuring that our wines reach you in premium condition.
